A Fabulous Chester Open Air Experience the whole family will love!

(written February 2020)

What an absolute treat!

A massive thank you to the Rack & Ruin Alpaca team for giving us the most incredible Alpaca Experience over the weekend at The Chester Fields Country Pub & Restaurant.

We’ve always fancied doing this as a family, but had never quite got round to organising it – however after seeing all of the gorgeous photo’s on their Instagram feed (@rackandruinalpacas), I couldn’t resist.

So we booked into The Chester Fields for Sunday lunch (the Sunday Roast has to be one of the best in Cheshire!), and contacted Steve & Mary to see if they had availability, which they did.

Rack & Ruin Alpacas are new to The Chester Fields, but Alpaca mummy & daddy Steve & Mary have been regulars since it opened it back in November 2011. This gorgeous independently run venue has evolved so much over the last nine years to become not only one of the best  country pubs in Cheshire, but also a fabulous wedding and events venue – and more development is on the way we hear (so watch this space …).

With lots of land along with stunning views across the Cheshire plains, The Chester Fields has made the perfect home for this funny little family for everyone to experience – young and old. These Alpaca’s are super cute – they are so gentle and affectionate and they clearly love interacting with people as well as each other. Let me introduce them to you (you’ll be able to pick them all out in the photographs);

First up is Ruin (my favourite!) – Ruin is two and a half years old and is cheeky, mischievious and affectionate, he loves to give kisses and is always up for a cuddle and a selfie! Ruin is the leader of the pack and is totally adorable. Rack is also two and a half years old and is described as a quiet gentleman. Elliot is 14 months old and is the largest of the group. He is the big black one with massive eyes, very chilled and cuddly. Fred is 18 months old, a bit of a show off and loves to pose but a little bit timid at times (the all white one). Barney is the white & brown mixed one who is so cute, and a bit of a cheeky chops, according to mum!

So – there you go, you’ve learned a little bit about all of them, so now its time to get up close and personal – and meet them for real!

The full experience takes around 45 minutes and can go ahead in most weather. You can even create fabulous memories for birthdays and celebrations by incorporating an Alpaca Experience into your event at The Chester Fields as well as hen & stag parties, baby showers, team building, anniversaries – anything at all …

We can’t recommend Rack & Ruin Alpacas highly enough. Take a look at their website and get in touch with the team for a totally unique, professional and fabulously fun experience which everyone will enjoy.
