Gill’s strong management team will support her in this endeavour, ensuring that DSN continues to provide high-quality support to those in need.

Reflecting on her journey and new role, Gill Reeder stated: “When I started at DSN almost 49 years ago, I would never have thought I would end up at the top position of CEO and what an honour it is. Thank you to the board and the staff for trusting me – I am honoured to step forward into this role to continue our mission and strategic direction forward seamlessly for DSN.”

Chairman Dave Fardoe commented on Gill’s appointment. He said: “Gill has been our interim CEO since last August, providing much-needed stability and progress. She has successfully addressed urgent matters and advanced key initiatives for DSN. Following a formal interview process, we are thrilled to confirm her as our permanent CEO. On behalf of the board, I wish Gill and her team every success.”

Under Gill’s leadership, DSN is poised to continue its mission of providing exceptional care and support to individuals with sensory loss, ensuring that their needs are met with compassion and expertise.
