Rio Brazilian Steakhouse has certainly made its entrance to the city of Chester where last Thursday saw over 100 local celebs and the ‘who’s who’ of Chester walk the red carpet and party like the Brazilians do.
Guests were treated to welcome cocktails – sponsored by Edinburgh Gin – before being shown to the restaurant’s fully fitted gourmet salad bar which was a feast for the eyes with an extensive variety of healthy salad combinations, an amazing selection of imported cheeses, cured meats and real Brazilian dishes like Feijoada, that everyone must try once!
The Gaucho chefs were out in force and guests enjoyed a continuous service with a wide variety of meats, including Brazilian Picanha, prime fillet, sirloin and rump alongside chicken thighs, chicken wings, melt-in-the-mouth caramelised pork and the show-stopping 24-hour slow cooked ribs. Fish and vegetarian dishes were available throughout the night – a real game changer in a steakhouse these days – sure to be perfect for any combination of groups of friends or family. The dessert boards were to die for showcasing a real taste of the sweet side of RIO with the churros being a firm favourite and the Semifredo coming a close second.
The real stars of the show however were the Brazilian carnival dancers that entertained guests after the meal when DJ Frankie from Geddes & Gioia turned the music up, the party started and the fun really began. A perfect launch into the city of Chester with guests Matt O’Brien and Izzy Grey leaving with smiles on their faces and amazing reactions to the whole night. Director Rodrigo Grassi said – “We are so pleased with the VIP opening night it was a huge success and the weekend itself saw almost 700 guests through our doors and next week’s numbers are already incredibly high – a response we never thought to expect.
