The WLGT Guide to Health, Pampering and Grooming in Hoole

If you’re anything like me, you need a complete post-lockdown overhaul! One minute we could, and the next minute we couldn’t, and now I’m in need of everything doing at the same time. But luckily we have the complete range of top-quality, independent groomers for him and for her right on our doorstep, and all in one place.

Hoole is a complete one-stop-shop for all our beauty needs, so I have created an Essential Guide to looking after yourself from head to toe with some fabulous therapists, hairdressers, clinicians and health experts.

Back to Health

I have had personal experience of these wonder-healers with some severe back pain and a knee injury, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. This is the go-to place in Chester for excellence in Chirporactic, Physiotherapy, Acupuncture, Sports Massage and Podiatry. A super-professional family run business, established for 11 years. Fantastic results for treating back, neck & joint pain in a national award-winning clinic. I visited for treatments during lockdown number one and their covid procedures were extremely reassuring.

Nail & Beauty Spas

I love having my nails done! An affordable treat which makes you feel so much better, and there are a number of nail experts in Hoole to choose from. Katy and Fiona at The Nail & Beauty Spa offer a range of nail enhancements and treatments including Builder in A Bottle, The Gel Bottle, Shellac and Gelish. Carry and Joy will be holding the fort at The Nail & Beauty Hub throughout December offering a range of treatments including gel nails and extensions, manicures, pedicures plus waxing, tinting and much more.

Barber Shops

There are three barber shops in Hoole and all of them are great quality, really friendly and welcoming. Number 47 Barbers have a couple of shops now and have taken larger premises due to high demand, and BarberZaar is very new and incredibly funky! Well done Ryan for getting open in such a challenging time. The Istanbul Traditional Turkish Barbers do the whole wet shave experience plus hot towel and and Turkish flame singeing. I also hear they serve traditional apple tea too!

Charlies Kids Cuts & Pamper Party Venue

So don’t worry if your little one is going through the terrible twos or the trying teens! They have crazy styling chairs (Barbie Jeep, Hummer & F22 Combat Jet) for the little ones and styling stations for the older ones, all with flat screens so you can select a DVD or play on the Xbox. Love it!
