Storyhouse’s Moonlight Flicks returns this summer with the largest and longest open-air season of cinema to date.
Five years after the events of Mamma Mia, Sophie is now pregnant and, following the death of her beloved mother Donna, prepares for the grand reopening of the Hotel Bella Donna while she tries to learn more about her mother’s past. With more amazing ABBA songs, incredible costumes, fabulous dance routines, laughs and tears, you won’t want to miss this heart warming sequel.
Tickets go on sale to Storyhouse Members today and on general sale from 4 May. Membership is £4 a month and members enjoy a range of benefits as well as supporting the work of Storyhouse. It can be cancelled at any time.

Directions to The Dean’s Field on foot:
From Town Hall Square: Walk through Abbey Archway (next to the Co Op Bank) and across Abbey Square. Follow Abbey Street down to the city wall and turn left. The Dean’s Field is ahead of you. The Dean’s Field was, until recently, used for Chester Falconry.
From Frodsham Street: Walk through Kaleyard’s Gate and turn right. The Dean’s Field is ahead of you.
This is a residential area so please ensure you arrive and leave quietly, and take any rubbish away with you.

Travelling to Dean’s Field
By Bike
If you plan to cycle to Moonlight Flicks, bike racks are available on Northgate street, near the old library.
By Bus
There are lots of bus routes that journey into Chester city centre and The Dean’s Field is around 6 minutes walk from Chester Bus Interchange, providing easy access from destinations such as Liverpool, Ellesmere Port, and Wrexham. To plan your bus journey, visit www.traveline.info.
By Rail
Chester Railway Station has direct routes to Cheshire, Wales, Manchester, London and Merseyside amongst others a and is approximately a 15 minute walk from The Dean’s Field.

The Dean’s Field is located within the grounds of Chester Cathedral, St Werburgh Street, CH1 2DY (near to the Town Hall and Storyhouse). Much of the area surrounding the building is pedestrianised with narrow streets.

The Dean’s Field is accessible for wheelchair users. We recommend arriving from Frodsham Street. There is a ramp up to the walls through Kaleyards Gate. There is one step down from the pavement to cobbled street, and then onto a flat pathway which leads directly to The Dean’s Field.
Please note that the area from where you watch the film is on a grass lawn.
