Fancy going on a fabulous wine journey from the comfort of your own home? Read on ...
I have known this fabulous couple for many years. They absolutely love what they do, and I love what they do too.
I am not a wine expert, so I love to be guided by the experts in a language I can understand, in the knowledge that I am getting good advice and really good value for money, but as we all know, that doesn’t mean cheap.
Bianca and Juliusz Lisowski know what they are talking about. They are a family business importing exclusive wines from Italy and Spain and champagne and run a lovely wine warehouse just outside Chester on Sealand Road which is definitely worth a visit.
Open to all (remember your mask!), this wine haven is full of fabulous wines of all price ranges. Bianca and Juliusz are well known in the wine industry and incredibly well thought of. They personally source, select, import and distribute the wines you can find on their website, and have done so since starting out 20 years ago.
They believe in clean, unadulterated, honest wine making and they support small/medium independent producers and restaurateurs who have the same beliefs. Within their small team they strive to keep up with the ever-growing wine scene, attending WSET courses and with trips to wine fairs abroad and in the UK.
They also regularly visit producers in their vineyards to cultivate good relationships and closer ties. White Fox Wines initially started out as a trade business, so these days although you can buy their wines online, you’ll also find them in various restaurants, wine bars and wine shops around the UK.
I am really looking forward to working with Bianca and Juliusz. Each week, we will be bringing you a brand new wine story, maybe a new import or discovery. It will be my job to help match that wine to a seasonal dish from a local food producer or chef, and together we will bring that story to life via Zoom and our various social media channels.
So we’ll see you around the White Fox wine table very soon. We’d love you to join us – albeit virtually for the time being.
