GREENDAY CAFÉ & GOLF
GreenDay Café and Golf lies within Westminster Park, just 1.5 miles from the centre of Chester. It is on a major bus route, with a stop nearby, and it has a large free car park for those coming by car.
It has a relaxed and friendly café serving a range of food and drinks (including the much loved Jaunty Goat coffee), a large outdoor terrace which overlooks a brand new Mini Golf Course, and a 9-hole Par 3 Course just a short walk away which is s currently being renovated – and will reopen in May 2024.
Set within an attractive parkland which has tree-lined walkways, playing fields, tennis courts and a kids’ play area, GreenDay is an ideal attraction for families looking for a fun activity and golfers looking to practise their putting skills on the Mini Golf Course or perfect their short-game on the 9-hole Par 3 Course.
MINI GOLF
The Mini Golf Course has been designed by Ken Moodie, an award-winning architect who has designed and remodelled some of the best golf courses in Europe. Ken has been running Creative Golf Design for over 25 years, a local company based in Chester.

“I have been planning GreenDay Café and Golf for many years. It’s been my ambition for over 10 years to have a world-class putting facility here in Chester, which will provide a fun activity for families to enjoy and a good place for golfers of all standards to practice their putting game. We have installed high-grade synthetic grass to allow for all-year-round play and have plans to install lighting in the future to offer nighttime golf for special events. I’m looking forward to seeing visitors of all ages and abilities enjoying this new attraction and what we have to offer in the GreenDay Café.”
CAFÉ
Greenday serves a range of hot and cold drinks, hot and cold food, and sweet treats such as cakes, pastries, and ice cream. Large groups can book tables in advance, and they already cater to volunteer groups, local running clubs, walking groups, and others. They have also recently become a Chatty Café location and offer people suffering from loneliness a place to come and meet others in a friendly and welcoming environment.
GreenDay café is also available for events outside of our regular opening hours, so please enquire about your event needs.
GOLF COURSE
There has been a 9-hole Par 3 Course in Westminster Park since the 1970s, but it has been neglected in recent years. Ken and his team are working hard to make improvements and looking forward to welcoming golfers back in May 2024. Players will be able to book online or at the GreenDay Café. Please check the website or the booking portal for updates.
